If you need an instant-gratification project that is no-sew and works up in just 30 minutes, you'll love this cute project. Let's welcome my newest free amigurumi pattern - the Pocket Capybara!
The Pocket Capybara is a quick, easy, and no-sew amigurumi that is designed with plush yarn. With this crochet pattern, you can whip up your own mini capybara pet that’s 3.5 inches in length! It can be crocheted using thinner yarns and a smaller hook if desired, and it’s perfect for making into a keychain or hanging ornament.
Uses
This little 3.5" amigurumi makes a cute keychain! Just add clasps and rings with this inexpensive keychain making kit and you can clip your capybara onto backpacks, purses, and more. Without a keychain, this little guy makes a pretty good desk buddy too!
The Pocket Capybara also works well as a party favor! Scroll down to check out the free printable adoption certificate that comes along with this pattern.
Since it's so quick to work up, it also makes a great last-minute gift, stocking stuffer, class gift, or craft fair product.
Adoption Certificate

Recommended Yarn
This adorable amigurumi is designed with Posh Twist yarn, which is a super plush and soft bulky weight 5 yarn. It works up fast and produces generously-sized amigurumis with fewer stitches compared to thinner yarns!
While this pattern is designed with plush yarn for that plush, squishy look, it also works great with cotton or acrylic yarns if that’s what you have on hand. Your capybara will just end up smaller, but they'll be the perfect size for a mini keychain, hanging ornament, or bag charm!
