If you love flowers and you love dolls, here's the perfect combination of both! Meet my sweet pattern design... the FLOWER BABY!
The Flower Baby is a bright and happy amigurumi doll pattern that works up quickly and easily with plush yarn! This low-sew crochet pattern only requires sewing the head to the body; everything else is no-sew.
This sweet flower has a chubby, little body with short arms and legs, and blossom petals framing her sweet face. The back of the head is in a different color from the face, making her look presentable from the back view as well!
Petal Variations
There are 3 different petal variations available for this pattern!
- 16-Petal Variation (shown in pink below)
- 8-Petal Variation (shown in purple below)
- 10-Petal Variation (shown in blue below)
Please note that the FREE version of this pattern demonstrates how to crochet the 8-petal variation. The paid PDF pattern includes instructions for all three petal variations.
Uses
This Flower Baby makes a colorful addition to Easter baskets, Spring or Summer craft fairs and markets, and sympathy gift. It’s also perfect for occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation, birthdays, and more.
Recommended Yarn
This adorable amigurumi is designed with Posh Twist yarn, which is a super plush and soft bulky weight 5 yarn. It works up fast and produces generously-sized amigurumis with fewer stitches compared to thinner yarns!
While this pattern is designed with plush yarn for that plush, squishy look, it also works great with cotton or acrylic yarns if that’s what you have on hand. Your doll will just end up smaller, but they'll be the perfect size for a little keychain, hanging ornament, or bag charm!
